Program for Young Leaders
The Aspen Young Leaders Program (AYLP) is designed for emerging leaders (aged 25-40) from Central Europe, active in various professional fields. The Program’s main goal is to encourage its participants to reflect on the fundamental qualities that make a successful leader in today’s world. It also aims at helping young Central Europeans network and discuss issues critical for society’s development.
“The program greatly motivated me and provided me with valuable tips on leadership. The importance of having a purpose was a reoccurring element among the speakers and was my main takeaway , inspiring me to frame my own purpose more clearly. I am also excited to take advantage of the new professional connections, so I see this program as a fantastic stepping stone to future opportunities and partnerships.”
– Zuzana Vuová
The Program consists of inspirational, disruptive or deep-diving workshops, moderated discussions and keynotes which give the participants the opportunity to explore the challenges and conflicts that leaders have to face when deciding policies and strategies for their organizations, communities and themselves.
Step away from your daily routine, reflect on underlying societal values
Taking place in the remote reaches of Central Europe, the Program is consistent with the basic Aspen idea to step away from daily routine and reflect on underlying societal values. It offers various formal and informal activities to create an environment conducive to sharing ideas, learning and networking. The agenda includes lectures, trainings and case studies as well as leisure activities. Participants have the opportunity to meet renowned professionals from various fields and discuss with them in person.
The Program also consists of workshops which develop participants’ soft and hard skills, an opportunity to present their specific projects and in particular, the possibility to network and discuss together in a unique, inspirational gathering.
When I was invited to join Aspen network, it was one of turning points in my life. I learned to know different people with similar struggles, and I imagined better what I want to achieve in my life. –Yemi A.D.
After completing the program, participants become part of the Aspen Institute Alumni network. They are invited to remain involved in the Institute activities and its development as well as among themselves and are further supported by the Institute. The alumni will be invited to various events organized by Aspen Institute CE and further supported in cooperation and networking. You can take a look at our alumni network of former participants.
